New Generation Racon

In Oct 2022, with the support of Shanghai Marine Safety Administration, an experiment was carried out for the testing of new generation racon.

Racon was installed on the wharf of Dajinshan Island which was around 6m above sea level. Meanwhile, solid state radar (Halo-3 with peak power of only 25W) was installed on shore which was 19.1kms away.

Morse code of "N" was clearly displayed on radar screen.

This shows that new generation racon has been approved to be able to respond to solid state radar.
